Materials

At aSk we pride ourselves in the research and sourcing of new materials such as plastics and aluminium composites, but fundamentally the material we choose for our skids, floors and planks has always been genuine Jabroc the industries favourite. We have conducted exhaustive test to compare Jabroc with other densified woods and find Jabroc to be the most suitable for our application. A full Technical Data Sheet can be found here.

Although our suppliers have a full understanding of our demands in this time sensitive motorsport industry, we ourselves hold stocks from 4 to 25 mm thicknesses as we find through experience these will cover the majority of your demands.

We use “Dibond”, an aluminium/polyethylene composite, as a light, ridged material for the manufacture of brake ducts, wheel covers. And “Foamlux” as a cheap alternative to carbon to produce front wing end plates.

In addition to these our machine have the capability to machine most non-ferrous materials and our experienced technical people would be happy to discuss any specific needs you may have.
